24-year-old phenom Kacey Khaliel started producing around the age of 16 while living at his mom’s house on a program called FL Studio. He decided to play with the program after his older brother downloaded it to their home computer. Realizing he had a natural knack for making beats, he began selling them at his high school. He quickly gained a name for himself in the city, becoming the go-to producer for the hottest beats. This caught the ears of Jive Records, who signed the young producer to a deal where he placed records with artists such as Huey, OJ Da Juiceman, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti and New Boyz among others, under the direction of Memphitz. A year later he split with Jive to launch a production team with his best friend Adrian “Jet” Perkins called the CaliBoyzClub, garnering a loyal fan base and has been recognized in the industry for having smooth, dark, club-ready production.
